Some Tips For Photoshop Newbies:

There’s a time when you don’t want certain effect / part to be on your final output. Perhaps you want to remove the  shades, shadows, lighting, or even wish to make the CD disappear from the image above, so you can see only the paperback ebook as below:

Here’s how.

( After completed running Action 2 ) All you need to do is to find the correct layer for example, the CD layer in the layer palette and uncheck the visuality eye symbol. You should see the differences. In case that you want to clear up the CD from the final output images, you may want to remove the CD shadows and shades as well by clicking the relevant layer.

Can’t find the layer palette in your Photoshop window? Go to menu bar, click Window > Layers.

You can reduce or increase the opacity of reflection /shadow of the paperback ( for example ) as well by click and drag the opacity toggle button to left or right. Make sure you highlighted the correct layer first.

Try playing with this features as your Photoshop learning curve.
